Electricity Rates Houston
Today I saved energy by not going to work. (I was sick.) Of course, because I wasn’t working, I was using tons of energy for other things: I turned the heat in the house up, I turned on the electric blanket and crawled under the covers. After a good loong nap, I got up and made some homemade chicken soup (that took about eight hours on the stove because I do it the “old-fashioned way”), I made some muffins and then some cookies. Then the husband got home and decided to make “Hamburger Hot Dish”. Only he makes it with ground-up turkey because he is one of those freaks that’s afraid of a little Mad Cow Disease (the coward!) After that, I washed like a billion loads of laundry that had piled up ’cause we went on vacation last week because of the New Year’s holiday. Then, we all took showers and went to bed around three a.m. Of course, we set several alarms before we went to bed.
To say that we use a lot of electricity is putting it mildly. I am so glad that my husband got this great idea to sign up for this new electric company. We have six computers, two printers a big-screen TV, Nintendo, the Wii, and DVD players up the kazoo.
